wolverine 1000 mile

More than 125 years ago, Wolverine founder G.A. Krause built a company on a dream of creating finely crafted footwear. Now Wolverine is honoring its heritage with a collection of boots and shoes inspired by Wolverine’s original designs – the 1000 Mile collection.
We’ve got 4 new styles in-store and online, including boots from the special collaboration with Filson. “What works then, still works now.” Shop it here.

happy belated

Happy belated birthday to our Superman shop manager, Jay!
our choice: leagues

The debut record from LEAGUES has been on repeat around our office since its January release. Made up of our friends Thad Cockrell, Jeremy Lutito and Tyler Burkum, LEAGUES are amazing musicians who also have critically-acclaimed careers of their own. And it doesn’t hurt that they are quite dashing, too.
The infectious You Belong Here is a combination of feel-good pop with a couple introspective tunes thrown in the mix. I’ve been fortunate to see them live, and let me just say, these guys are the real deal. Hands were clapping, feet tapping, bodies moving—a sight not often seen in this music town. They are currently on the road through April, and if you have the chance to see them in your city… run, don’t walk.
Love,
Elise
sign painters
Like many skilled trades, the sign industry has been overrun by the techno-fueled promise of quicker and cheaper. Fortunately, there is a growing trend to seek out traditional sign painters and a renaissance in the trade.
In 2010, filmmakers Faythe Levine and Sam Macon began documenting these dedicated practitioners, their time-honored methods, and their appreciation for quality and craftsmanship. Sign Painters, the first anecdotal history of the craft, features the stories of more than two dozen sign painters working in cities throughout the United States.
If I could be anything, I would be a sign painter!
